Meet the maker

I've spent my professional life building, leading, improving, and growing businesses. Entrepreneurship has never simply been a career for me - it's part of who I am. I've also always believed that learning should never stop. That belief led me back to school later in life, and at 49, I proudly earned my Master of Science in Management. Some people thought I was crazy, I thought, Why not? Growth doesn't have an expiration date.

Slowing down has never been my strongest suit. While many people my age were beginning to think about retirement, I was busy creating The Delightful Little Soapery. It wasn't part of a retirement plan - it was simply the next chapter in a lifelong pattern of curiosity, creativity, and wanting to create something meaningful.

I'm equal parts science nerd, and creative soul. I love understanding how things work just as much as I love designing beautiful products. Nature inspires me endlessly from its colors and fragrances to its constant reminder that growth is always possible.

At it's heart, The Delightful Little Soapery exists for one simple reason: I want to help other people feel good. Life can be stressful, and I believe even the smallest daily rituals - washing your hands, taking a shower, applying lip butters - can become moments of self-care and joy. If one handcrafted product helps someone smile, pause, relax, or feel a little more pampered, then I've accomplished exactly what I set out to do.

This business was intentionally created to compliment my life, not to complicate it. It allows me to continue learning, creating, connecting, and sharing while enjoying this season of life. I love transforming simple ingredients into artisan products that are both beautiful and functional.

I also believe strongly in supporting fellow makers and small businesses. Every handcrafted purchase supports a dream, a family, and a passion. My hope is that The Delightful Little Soapery not only introduces people to locally crafted artisan goods, but also inspires others to seek out and support makers in their own communities. When we support local creators, everyone wins. 

And through it all, I have my husband, who supports me 100%. I'm fairly certain he doesn't always understand why I suddenly need "just one more" soap mold or dream up yet another new idea, but he never stops believing in me, cheering me on, or helping me turn those ideas into reality.
